{"id":9207,"date":"2026-04-27T15:30:19","date_gmt":"2026-04-27T15:30:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.openvaluefoundation.org\/?p=9207"},"modified":"2026-04-27T15:30:20","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T15:30:20","slug":"blog-post-31","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/openvaluefoundation.org\/en\/2026\/04\/27\/blog-post-31\/","title":{"rendered":"Blog post 31"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme of&nbsp;<strong>microcredit<\/strong>&nbsp;implemented by the&nbsp;<strong>Marian Brothers<\/strong>&nbsp;and financed by the&nbsp;<strong>Africa Direct Foundation<\/strong>&nbsp;It began in early 2011 and has been granting credits ever since&nbsp;<strong>women from the Yumbe district to help them start businesses and improve their quality of life and that of their families<\/strong>. Among the main objectives of the programme are the empowerment of women, financial inclusion and the promotion of organic and sustainable development in local communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the last 11 years&nbsp;<strong>More than 1,600 micro-loans totalling over \u20ac110,000 have been granted, helping more than 650 women without access to financial markets to start a small business.<\/strong>&nbsp;which, with the small profits they make, will represent a change in their living conditions and those of their families in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to the donation from the Open Value Foundation to the \u2018Lodonga Microcredits\u2019 programme, during July and August 2022,&nbsp;<strong>127 new women have been able to be incorporated who will receive support to start their own businesses and maintain the family economy.<\/strong>&nbsp;These new beneficiaries belong to the communities of Nyori, Matu and Pajama, located in the Yumbe district of northeast Uganda.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El programa de&nbsp;microcr\u00e9ditos&nbsp;implementado por los&nbsp;Marian Brothers&nbsp;y financiado por la&nbsp;Fundaci\u00f3n \u00c1frica Directo&nbsp;dio comienzo a principios de 2011 y desde entonces no ha dejado de conceder cr\u00e9ditos a&nbsp;mujeres del distrito de Yumbe para ayudarles emprender y poder mejorar su calidad de vida y la de sus familias.
