{"id":9201,"date":"2026-04-27T15:26:16","date_gmt":"2026-04-27T15:26:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.openvaluefoundation.org\/?p=9201"},"modified":"2026-04-27T15:26:17","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T15:26:17","slug":"blog-post-29","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/openvaluefoundation.org\/en\/2026\/04\/27\/blog-post-29\/","title":{"rendered":"Blog post 29"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through the Impact Foundations Fund, the second call for investment in companies and projects aimed at supporting vulnerable or at-risk groups in Spain is being launched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Powered by 11 foundations in 2021<\/strong>, the investment vehicle of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/openvaluefoundation.org\/en\/es\/fondo-de-fundaciones-para-el-impacto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Impact Fund of Foundations<\/a>&nbsp;It is a pioneering project in Spain that aims to highlight that contributing to the improvement of society and achieving financial profitability are compatible, and to introduce non-profit organisations to impact investing in a practical and collaborative way.&nbsp;<strong>To date, 20 foundations are already part of the initiative.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Carlos D\u00edaz, Director of Economic Relations, Administration and Systems at Alianza por la Solidaridad Foundation: \u201cFor a Foundation like Alianza, making social impact the central objective for the application of its resources ensures the fulfilment of its aims and, therefore, the essence of its existence. Belonging to the Fund of Foundations assures us that we can support social entrepreneurship initiatives in Spain in collaboration with others, in such a way that we fulfil not only what we must do but also the way in which we wish to do it.\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Impact Foundations Fund concluded its first edition&nbsp;<strong>financing two Spanish social enterprises:<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>Apadrinaunolivo.org and RobinGood to promote social inclusion and fight rural depopulation<\/strong>. Following the closure of the call launched in July 2021 to find companies or projects with social impact seeking funding, these two companies received funding, technical advice, relational support and visibility from the Fund. Apadrinaunolivo.org received a loan of \u20ac35,000; and RobinGood received a further \u20ac35,000 in capital invested by the Fund.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To continue the Fund, the participating foundations are launching a second call for applications at the end of this year, with a&nbsp;<strong>investment per project up to \u20ac40,000<\/strong>, aimed at companies and existing projects in Spain that pursue social impact through their activity, and that are oriented towards supporting vulnerable or at-risk-of-exclusion groups. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Companies and interested projects have until the next&nbsp;<strong>31 January 2023<\/strong>&nbsp;to submit your application.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Social enterprises that are interested will have to comply with the following requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To be a company or project oriented towards supporting vulnerable groups or those at risk of exclusion.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>with a sustainable business model or with projected profitability in the medium term<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>with social impact in Spain<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the early stage of development or growth, with at least one product or service on the market and already with initial sales.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>with will and scalability potential<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They are part of this initiative: Fundaci\u00f3n Alb\u00e9niz, Fundaci\u00f3n Alianza por la Solidaridad, Fundaci\u00f3n Altamar, Fundaci\u00f3n Anesvad, Fundaci\u00f3n Antonio Aranz\u00e1bal, Fundaci\u00f3n Ayuda en Acci\u00f3n, Fundaci\u00f3n Boscana, Fundaci\u00f3n CODESPA, Fundaci\u00f3n Caja Extremadura, Fundaci\u00f3n Creas, Fundaci\u00f3n Daniel y Nina Carasso, Fundaci\u00f3n ECODE, Fundaci\u00f3n Entreculturas, Fundaci\u00f3n EXIT, Fundaci\u00f3n Hermanos \u00c1lvarez Quir\u00f3s, Fundaci\u00f3n Investarf, Fundaci\u00f3n Roberto Rivas, Fundaci\u00f3n San Prudencio, Fundaci\u00f3n So\u00f1ar Despierto and Open Value Foundation, in whose&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/openvaluefoundation.org\/en\/es\/convocatoria-fondo-de-fundaciones-de-impacto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">website<\/a>&nbsp;All the information about the call is here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Beatriz de Felipe, coordinator of alliances and institutional relations at Entreculturas Foundation: \u201cbeing part of the Fund of Foundations is proving to be a very enriching learning process for Entreculturas.
